*On cue, Drew McIntyre emerges from behind the curtain to a vastly hostile reception from the NLW fans in attendance.*
*He makes his way towards the ring, repelling all the jeers and boos thrown his way with a snide smirk.*
*Once he enters the ring, he grabs a microphone from the ringside area and stands in the center of the ring, absorbing the fans hatred for a few moments before eventually raising the microphone upwards...*
[Drew McIntyre] I was in the back earlier, watching all the footage NLW has compiled so far and I came to the conclusion that it's not just Brian Kendrick who's in his own little fantasy world.
[Drew McIntyre] It seems as though the whole roster are living in fairyland. They actually think that they're as good as they say they are and that they're going to be the biggest star here in NLW. But they're sadly mistaken.
That honour is reserved for me, Drew McIntyre.
*The crowd roars in disapproval of the Sinister Scotsman.*
[Drew McIntyre] I am the chosen one. I was hand-picked for success by the greatest wrestling promoter to ever walk this earth - Vincent Kennedy McMahon. He introduced me to the world as a future World Heavyweight Champion, and here in NLW that prophecy will be fulfilled.
But tonight, I have other business...
[Drew McIntyre] NLW management has decided to put me in a match with Sting. An overrated, washed-up pensioner who should be in a home. Not an old people's home... but a mental home. The guy is 51 and he paints his face like a child. There has to be something wrong with him mentally...
*The crowd begins chants of "You Suck!" as Drew takes a few moments to think... after around 30 seconds he raises the microphone once again to interrupt the fans' jeers.*
[Drew McIntyre] Now that I think about it, I know why he paints his face. He's hiding what he truly is.
Unluckily for you Sting, I can see right through the paint. I can see the failure that you really are. You were only ever booked as a champion because WCW and TNA didn't have a clue what they were doing. That's why you never joined the WWE, because you know deep down you don't belong in the main event and that you were lucky to have as many championship reigns as you did. I can see the fear and cowardice behind the paint...
*McIntyre smirks as he continues his rant.*
[Drew McIntyre] But then you look at me Sting and I'm the exact opposite of what you are. Look at me and you see success and pure talent. I have unlimited potential. I am successful now and I will definitely be successful in the future.
You're nothing more than a mere stepping stone on my way to inevitably becoming World Champion.
*The crowd's roar is now at a deafening level of volume. McIntyre continues to ignore it.*
[Drew McIntyre] Once I'm through with Sting, you people and the rest of the roster will have no choice but to face reality and snap out of your wonderlands.
You'll have to face the reality that NLW's little opening celebration party is now over...
And that the dawning of Drew McIntyre...has just begun.
*Drew drops his mic and smirks into the camera full of confidence. The screen eventually fades to black to start a commercial break.*
